Doing it for the fun of it.
My name is Maggie Cogan. I was introduced to the world of costuming by my best friend Meg, somewhere around 8 or 9 years ago when she took me to a Renaissance Festival. I have been hooked ever since. I went through a few years of trial and error, with the help of my very very patient best friend and teacher, who showed me how patterns and a sewing machines works. Now I look at costumes on TV and in movies and think, how am I gonna do that? Can I do that? Most of the time the answer is yes, but if I ever get stuck on something I know there are plenty of people I have met over the years who might be able to point me in the right direction. I have recently also started to delve into the world of make-up and with the help of the show FaceOff am going to try to learn how to do it all. Which I believe will only make my costuming that much better or drive me completely insane 🙂
I grew up in Alaska and watched a lot of movies when ever it was too cold to go outside, which was as you can guess, a lot of the time. I watch it all, the good, the bad, the scary and funny. If you have any questions whether about costuming or not please feel fee to ask, I will help if I can or point you to others who know more than me.
